What's the worst sports take you've ever had?

They drafted Will Fuller...

We all have bad takes. That's pretty much all twitter is. It allows you to react in the moment and then forget about it. Unless someone does to you what they do to Skip Bayless or Stephen A. Smith, and dig up your old tweets to prove a point.

As much as I don't care for the hot takes those guys throw out, or people digging them up, I do think it can be funny to look at some of your old "takes" in retrospect. So here are some of my worst and most wrong (wrongest) sports takes.

Braxton Miller:

Boy, I was so far off on this. I thought because of the athleticism that Miller showed all through his college career at Ohio State (the spin move is still insane), that something would translate to the NFL. I thought that possibly Miller would turn into the slot receiver the Texans had been in search of for a long time, and have now hopefully found in Keke Coutee.

Nope.

Unfortunately for Miller, he couldn't stay healthy, and even when he was healthy, he became a healthy scratch a few times.

I don't know why this experiment didn't work out. Maybe it was having to fight for a share of targets with Deandre Hopkins and Will Fuller. Maybe it was the inconsistent QB play that the Texans had from anyone not named Deshaun Watson. Or maybe Miller just wasn't good. It's very possible that he couldn't run routes and get open enough to justify playing him. Whatever the case is, the Texans took a shot and failed. It just sucks that they could have used this pick on a lineman that could actually protect Watson.

Ty Lawson:
Yikes....

This is so terrible I don't even know where to begin. Ty Lawson was such a bad fit in Houston. Maybe Mike D'Antoni could have figured out a way to make Lawson fit with James Harden in the backcourt, similar to what he has done with Chris Paul and Harden. But poor Kevin McHale just couldn't seem to find the right fit for Lawson, as well as manage a team with an unhappy Dwight Howard, and he was fired 11 games into the season. Funny enough, McHale's temporary replacement J.B. Bickerstaff couldn't figure it out either.

Lawson was a shell of what he was in Denver when he came to Houston. He went from averaging 15 pts and 9 ast per game with the Nuggets to 5.8 pts and 3 ast per game with the Rockets. His shooting percentage also dropped from .436 to .387. I'm not a mathematician, but I know that's a big drop.

Maybe this didn't work because Lawson wasn't fully healthy. Maybe Harden couldn't coexist at that time with another ball dominate guard. Or maybe the Rockets traded 4 players and first round pick for a guy who was struggling with alcohol addiction. Either way, Lawson's time with the Rockets wasn't great and I could't have been more wrong.

Meanwhile, Goran Dragic, who the Rockets failed to re-sign back in 2012 has now become an All-Star with the Heat. The Rockets also traded All-Star Kyle Lowry in 2012 thinking they could re-sign Dragic. They didn't, and the rest is history.

While we are on the subject of trash Rockets takes:

Gross...

Other wrong takes:

It hasn't.

It was fire...

They have won 7 in a row...I guess they could still go 7-9 but probably not...

Not really a take, but this still hurts.

I do occasionally redeem myself though:

Let me know some of your worst or most wrong sports takes!
